-     OCT. 22nd - MACCABI HAIFA NOT TOP 40 EURO TEAM LOSES BY 7 TO NBA TORONTO

-            NBA GM's 2014-15 SURVEY OF WHO THE TOP PLAYERS NOT IN THE NBA

The disrespect of two Greek players that helped dominate the Euroleague titles in the past decade, keeps on going, as today on the NBA.COM website,  John Schuhmann put out the annual NBA GM's survey and just like in 2012 and 2013, Vassilis Spanoulis and Dimtris Diamantidis were not on top of the list of players that do not play in the NBA. The top four on the new 2014 list were 1. Rudy Fernandez -- 32% Dario Saric -- 32%  3. Sergio Rodriguez -- 12%, Milos Teodosic -- 12% , with the article saying that the 2009, 2012 and 2013 Euroleague champion and Final Four MVP all three times, Vassilis Spanoulis Also receiving votes.  Dimitris Diamantidis also was on the 2009 Euroleague title Panathinaikos team with Spanoulis and Diamantidis also won the 2007 and 2011 Euroleague titles along with being MVP at both of those Final Four titles, but when EUROJOHNBBALL asked NBA GM's about Diamantidis as a 28 year old free agent, SIX NBA GM's had NO IDEA who the Euroleague Great was, infact one former NBA GM, asked how old was this Diamantidis guy and how tall was he.   Most of the NBA GM's that had NO CLUE who Diamantidis was, watch Major League Baseball more than the Euroleague and know more about a left handed relief pitcher, than the Euroleague Final Four.

The fact that the 32 year old Vassilis Spanoulis only got few votes, after putting Olympiacos on his back for the 2012 and 2013 Euroleague titles, shows even more that the Spurs are the smartest team in the NBA about Euro talent, as RC Buford and the Spurs traded for Spanoulis in 2007, after his HORRIBLE KYLE KORVER STAND IN THE CORNER TYPE OF SEASON WITH JEFF VAN GUNDY IN HOUSTON IN 2006, after he took over versus team USA in the last loss for coach K, but for some reason NBA GM's think Rudy Fernandez, Milos Teodosic and Sergio Rodriguez are better players, even though none of those three players ever won a game versus NBA team USA players and none of those three ever won a Euroleague title, let alone won MVP of the Euroleague title, again Spanoulis has done it THREE times.

Teodosic, Fernandez and Rodriguez are high on the list of EUROJOHNBBALL, but until they win a Euroleague title, they can not be ahead of Spanoulis, who won one of his Euroleague Final Four MVP awards and titles versus Real Madrid, when he exploded in the second half.  Dario Saric could be the next Toni Kukoc, Lamar Odom or Dejan Bodiroga, but unless the NBA GM's were picking the age factor for Dario Saric 20 years old, compared to Vassilis Spanoulis 32 years old, then the 20 year old Dario Saric picked ahead of the clutchest Euroleague player of the last decade is just DISRESPECT, by many NBA GM's that know little about who truly has been the GO TO GUY in Europe the past SIX years, winning THREE Euroleague titles and THREE MVP's in that time span.

The 2013 NBA survey list was a BIGGER JOKE than the new 2014 Survey, as Nikola Mirotic won with 25% of the vote and Spanoulis was second with 14.3% of the votes, even though Mirotic was part of that same Real Madrid team with Fernandez and Rodriguez, that Spanoulis torched to WIN BACK TO BACK EUROLEAGUE titles. Mirotic is a good player, but is not a give me the ball, I will win you this title type of guy like Dirk Nowitzki, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker or Vassilis Spanoulis.

RC Buford knows Vassilis Spanoulis and Dimitris Diamantidis, but the other NBA GM's that think guys never winning Euroleague titles are better, just need to WAKE UP & SMELL THE COFFEE and stop watching so much Baseball and NFL Football and watch some Euroleague playoff games from time to time, for those that did watch the Euroleague in the past decade, they know Greek PG's Vassilis Spanoulis, Dimitris Diamantidis and retired Theo Papaloukas DOMINATED THE EUROLEAGUE, winning the 2006, 20072008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Euroleague titles, PUT THAT IN YOUR NEXT SURVEY !!!!!

1. Anadolu Efes 82 Sassari 75 - Turkish squad Anadolu Efes go to 2-0 and Italian squad Sassari drop to 0-2 on the early Euroleague season, as Anadolu Efes win by seven points, but the father of Croatian 20 year old PF-SF, Dario Saric could be upset again about the minutes his son saw on the court, as the 12th pick in the 2014 NBA draft, decided to stay in Europe rather than come to the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA.  Dario Saric was not in the starting lineup and came off the bench, playing just 13 minutes and scoring 9 points, on 4-6 FG, 1-1 FT, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, the OFF THE BENCH role will not sit well with Dario's father or fans in Philly waiting for Dario and looking at his European stat lines.      Anadolu Efes was led in scoring by Serbian center Nenad Krstic with 15 points in 21 minutes, on 6-8 FG, 3-4 FT and was followed by Gabonese center Stephane Lasme with 14 points and American SG Matt Janning with 14 points.   Sassari was led by American SG Jerome Dyson with 21 points and American SG Rakim Sanders added 15 points.
