-                           SPANISH ACB LEAGUE FINALS - GAME THREE - JUNE 24th

-        FC BARCELONA UP 2-1 ON 2013 CHAMPS MAKING 16-28 FROM 3 POINT LAND

1. FC BARCELONA 94 REAL MADRID 79 - EUROJOHNBBALL called Real Madrid the deepest squad in European basketball early in the season after blowing other squads out by 25, 30, 35 points on a regular basis in Euroleague and Spanish ACB play, but after getting upset in the Euroleague Final by Coach David Blatt, Tyrese Rice and Macabbi Tel Aviv, the defending 2013 Spanish ACB league champions are now down in the 2014 championship series 2-1 to rivals FC Barcelona after the 94-79 defeat today.   Veteran Spanish SG Juan Carlos Navarro led a 3 point barrage versus Real Madrid, as FC Barcelona hit on 16-28 from long range, compared to just 6-19 for Real Madrid and Juan Carlos Navarro led them in scoring with 19 points in 22 minutes, on 7-11 FG, 3-7(3PT), 2-2 FT and was followed by American SG Brad Oleson with 15 points, 3-4 from deep, Slovenian PF Bostjan Nachbar had 14 points, 4-6 from deep, Greek SF Kostas Papanikolaou 12 points, 2-2 from deep and Brazilian PG Marcelinho Huertas 12 points, 2-3 from deep and 8 assists in the win.

Real Madrid was led by Spanish Combo-Guard Sergio Llull with 15 points in 25 minutes, on 7-10 FG, 1-2 from deep, 0-1 FT and was followed by Greek center Ioannis Bourousis and American SG Jaycee Carroll with 13 points apiece, while Montenegrin-Spanish PF Nikola Mirotic added 11 points in 15 minutes, but grabbed just 1 rebound and Spanish SF Rudy Fernandez was held to just 7 points.   Nikola Mirotic and Rudy Fernandez will have to be more active in game four of the Finals for Real Madrid to stay alive and not lose both the Euroleague and Spanish ACB Final after the great start they had in both leagues.

-                            TURKISH TBL LEAGUE FINALS - GAME SEVEN - JUNE 19th

-       FENERBAHCE WIN GAME 7 BY FORFEIT DUE TO SECURITY ISSUES - A BAD ENDING

1. FENERBAHCE 20 GALAYASARAY 0  - The defending 2013 Turkish TBL league champions tied the Finals at 3-3, but decided not to show up to the Fenerbahce arena for game seven, due to the security concerns from the previous game five in the Fenerbahce arena and Galatasaray did not like the refs that were going to be involved with game seven. Anyway you look at it, a real bad ending to the Turkish TBL season with no game being played.

-                                   ITALIAN LEGA FINALS - GAME FIVE - JUNE 23rd

-       DEFENDING 2013 CHAMPS MONTEPASCHI GO UP 3-2 OTHELLO HUNTER 18 PTS

-       SG BOGDAN BOGDANOVIC 36 PT GAME WILL MAKE NBA TAKE A GOOD LOOK

1. PARTIZAN 95 CRVENA ZVEZDA 87 - EUROJOHNBBALL thinks that the most versatile scorer in the 2014 NBA draft is 20 year old Croatian SF-PF- Point Forward, Dario Saric and in five years NBA teams that passed on Saric could look back to regret not taking him early, as he will be the best player in the draft. NBA Mock drafts and Radio Sports talk shows in the USA call this NBA draft, a three star player draft, with Joel Embiid, Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker getting all the hype on the airwaves, but with the injuries to Joel Embiid, EUROJOHNBBALL thinks the skill level of Dario Saric will make him the best player in this draft, five years from now, with his combination of Toni Kukoc, Dirk Nowitzki, or a player most radio sports talk hosts in the USA have no clue of Dejan Bodiroga, Saric will be the one guy in this draft that can control a game, just like Bodiroga could do.       Saric might be the most versatile scorer in the entire NBA draft and from Europe this year, but Serbian 21 year old SG Bogdan Bogdanovic is the most EXPLOSIVE scorer from Europe in the 2014 NBA draft and if NBA teams had any doubts about Bogdanovic, the confident 6 foot 6 inch Serbian SG might have changed some minds and sealed a spot in the 2014 NBA draft FIRST ROUND, after leading Partizan to the Serbian KLS title, beating grown men on Crvena Zvezda 3-1 and having three 30 plus scoring games, 33, 34 and today 36 points in the 95-87 OT win.  Bogdanovic scored his 36 points in 39 minutes, on 10-23 FG, 3-9(3PT), 13-16 FT, 6 assists, 6 rebounds and was followed by French Center Joffrey Lauvergne with 15 points, 10 rebounds, while Serbian center Djordje Gagic added 12 points and Serbian wings Former NBA player Sasha Pavlovic and Milenko Tepic had 11 points apiece in the OT Finals win.    Crvena Zvezda was led by American PG Charles Jenkins with 16 points and was followed by Branko Lazic and DeMarcus Nelson with 14 points apiece.

-  CROATIAN BIG ANTE TOMIC HELPS BARCA GO UP 1-0 ON 2013 CHAMPS 17 PT 11 R

1. FC BARCELONA 98 REAL MADRID 93 - The 2014 NBA Finals just ended with the Euroleague and World based scouting of the San Antonio Spurs beating the Miami Heat and LeBron James 4-1, as former ACB league center Tiago Splitter played well in the middle to help the Spurs win the title.  EUROJOHNBBALL always thought that the easiest spot for NBA teams to find help at in Europe was the center spot, but the Miami Heat used LAZY SCOUTING to give LeBron James help in the middle this season, as they signed an injured Greg Oden, instead of using the Spurs method of finding BIG MEN from Europe to give Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker help at winning titles, with Fabricio Oberto and Rasho Nesterovic doing the DIRTY WORK in past NBA titles, as Tiago Splitter helped with in the 2014 NBA title.    After the 2011-12 season, Croatian Center Ante Tomic was released by Real Madrid and was available for any European team and any NBA team to sign, if they made a trade with the Utah Jazz, who have his NBA Draft rights, grabbing Tomic with the 44th pick of the 2008 NBA draft, but with Utah having many young Big-Men, Tomic was a guy they probably would have traded, but NBA teams did not think like the Spurs or EUROJOHNBBALL, most other NBA teams just sign the same old names like Greg Oden in Miami and Doug Collins signed KWAME Brown to a two year deal in 2012 instead of looking at (THE CROATIAN PAU GASOL - Ante Tomic AS AN OPTION).    Ante Tomic has the same body type of Pau Gasol and also has the same type of offensive POST-GAME, who DEMANDS A DOUBLE-TEAM and EUROJOHNBBALL thinks at just 27 years of age, he is a guy that could still help NBA teams in the future and do not be surprised if the San Antonio Spurs look his way to take the spot of an older 38 year old Tim Duncan, when the Hall of Famer finally retires.

The Croatian 27 year old center led FC Barcelona to a game one win over 2013 defending Spanish ACB league champions Real Madrid, with a 17 point, 11 rebound game in 28 minutes, on 6-10 FG, 5-9 FT and got help on the perimeter from Slovenian SF Bostjan Nachbar with 17 points, on 7-10 FG, making 2-5 from 3 point land 1-1 FT, while Spanish SG Juan Carlos Navarro added 14 points and Brazilian PG Marcelo Huertas had 12 points, 5 assists in the win.     Real Madrid already got upset in the Euroleague Final by David Blatt, Tyrese Rice and Maccabi Tel Aviv and being down 0-1 in the ACB Finals, is not what they were hoping for after being labled the DEEPEST squad in Europe.   Real Madrid was led by Spanish PG Sergio Rodriguez and Spanish SF Rudy Fernandez with 16 points apiece and Spanish combo-guard Sergio Llull added 12 points, while Greek center Ioannis Bourousis and American SF Tremmell Darden added 10 points apiece, while Chicago Bulls NBA first round pick Nikola Mirotic played only 14 minutes in the loss and scored just 4 points, on 2-4 FG, 0-1 FT and grabbed 1 rebound, if his minutes do not increase in the Spanish ACB Finals, it might be time to look at the NBA with Chicago next season.

-    SPURS WORLD VIEW OF SCOUTING IS DIFFERENT THAN THE WAY MIAMI DOES IT

-     LEBRON, D. WADE & C. BOSH NOT SEEN SPURS TEAM BALL SINCE 2011 & 2006

The 2014 NBA Finals are now in favor of the SO CALLED TOO OLD or TOO EUROLEAGUE based San Antonio Spurs, as they have a 3-1 lead on the back to back NBA champion Miami Heat, led by the best player in the world LeBron James. The Spurs have bounced back from the BAD memory of the Ray Allen 3 point shot in game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals and came back this season with a DEEPER roster, that won the most games in the regular season and are one game away from grabbing the NBA title, with a brand of basketball that national media members, have said reminds older NBA fans of the good old days of the NBA in the 1980's, where team ball was emphasized more than the NBA of today, where it seems every other NBA team other than the Spurs and their GM's are looking for the next LeBron James or Michael Jordan to lead their franchise to an NBA title.  The Spurs scout European leagues and the world better than other NBA team, as their GM R.C Buford, has figured out the best way to find players that are team oriented and will not get upset when coach Gregg Popovich curses them out in practice or in games, is to look overseas, where players like Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, Tiago Splitter, Patty Mills and Marco Belinelli have been getting cursed out by crazier coaches than Gregg Popovich since the age of 14 and have been playing a national team concept of TEAM BALL also since the age of 14, so the best way to find Popovich guys that will understand the TEAM FIRST approach and are used to getting yelled at was to look at the top leagues in Europe and also stay with that same approach when looking at players that played NCAA college ball, going with mild mannered players like Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, rather than look at the NCAA players with the AAU mind- set of ME FIRST approach of many NCAA college players that have not been drilled by LOUD European coaches that TEAM FIRST is the best approach.

The Heat have the best player in the NBA Finals in LeBron James and his style of play, of sharing the ball would fit in well on the Spurs, but the help that Pat Riley has given KING James is not enough to compete with the depth of the Spurs.  The Miami Heat gave LeBron help at center with Greg Oden this season instead of looking to Europe like the Spurs have done in the past to give Tim Duncan help at center, as they have Tiago Splitter on this Spurs roster and in the past Fabricio Oberto along with Rasho Nesterovic have helped the Spurs win NBA titles ( TAKE THAT STEPHEN A. SMITH - RASHO NESTEROVIC did the little things to help the Spurs win a title) and LeBron James needs more than an injured Greg Oden to help him win a title.  Greg Oden is just LAZY scouting by the Miami Heat, as the EASIEST POSITION TO FIND HELP FROM EUROPE IS THE CENTER SPOT, but the Heat like many other NBA teams, say they scout Europe, by showing up at the Adidas Euro camps, but knowing who the older European players that could help in the middle is a skill that NBA teams, other than the Spurs do not show.  Instead of signing Greg Oden, EUROJOHNBBALL brought up last season, that the Heat needed center help, after Nikola (NOT NIK) Vucevic torched them in the middle with a 29 rebound game and 25 point, 21 rebound game and a guy that the Spurs wanted in the past, Ioannis Bourousis was the Center that the Miami Heat should have targeted, NOT GREG ODEN.   The Lazy Scouting was also seen in Philadelphia when Doug Collins was the man that chose to sign KWAME Brown to a 2 year deal and wanted to give KWAME 5 years, when Ante Tomic and Esteban Batista were available in Europe.  All Three of those Big-Men in Europe could have given LeBron James and the Heat help in the middle, but they chose to stay with an undersized Udonis Haslem and Chris Anderson and his 9,000 tattoos, even though neither have Post-Up moves to draw a double-team, to open up the Heat 3 point shooters, like the Spurs have done in this series, having the ability to throw the ball into the post with Boris Diaw.    It will be real tough for LeBron James and the Miami Heat to win 3 straight games to win this NBA title, but the fact that the World Scouting view of the Spurs is winning the NBA title, could get the Heat and other NBA teams to STEP UP Their Euroleague scouting and give the NBA stars European league and World league help, if so EUROJOHNBBALL is available to help the SIX teams that had NO CLUE who Dimitris Diamantidis was when he was a 28 year old free agent and others that think the Spurs Plan could work in their city.
